Training Simulations

Global Ground Support
Airplane Deicing Simulator
The Global Ground Support Airplane Wing Deicing Simulator, developed by ForgeFX, is an interactive 3D computer-simulated environment for airport ground support equipment operators. The simulation allows operators to be trained, tested, and assessed in a safe, risk-free, and low cost environment. The simulation allows for a number of planes to be deiced with unlimited control over time of day, temperature, wind conditions, percipitation levels and type.

Farmers Cyberlab
The Farmers Insurance CyberLab, developed by ForgeFX, is an interactive 3D training simulation that falls within the Serious Games category. Its purpose is to teach prospective claims agents the process of determining the amount of damage a residence has sustained to arrive at a claim.

This interactive real-time 3D learning tutorial demonstrates automobile maintenance basics to students. This interactive 3D training simulation is one of many Shockwave 3D projects developed by ForgeFX for Adobe to demonstrate the real-time 3D capabilities of their Director product.

Water Motion Simulation
3D Ocean Waves
This is a real-time 3D wave simulator that demonstrates the connection between wind strength, wavelength, wave height, wave speed, and wave frequency. Student are able to clearly understand ocean particle motion depth.
3D Ant Pheromone Trails
Simulation-based learning
This is a real-time 3D simulation that demonstrates how ants use pheromones to communicate and find food. The student is able to interact with the simulation's environment to see how the ants react.
Virtual Catapult Designer
3D Design and Test
The project simulates the Design and Test process using the development and testing of a paintball catapult in a real-time 3D simulation.
Topographic Map Simulator
3D Topographic Maps
This real-time 3D simulation illustrates how topographic maps are created and used to depict changes in elevation. Students are able to sculpt mountains and valleys in real-time 3D, seeing the changes to the corresponding topographic map.
Lunar & Solar Eclipse Simulation
3D Eclipses and Moon Phases
This real-time 3D simulation of the Sun, Earth, and moon explains lunar and solar eclipses, as well as the defined moon phases. Students can manipulate the Sun, the Earth, and the moon and view from any perspective.

Cells are the basic unit of structure and function in living things. This real-time 3D model allows the user to inspect the structures of both plant and animal cells. The student is able to explore the entire cell from any angle as well as drill down to individual organelles of the cell for more information and a better view.
4-Stroke Engine Simulator
Interactive 3D Engine
Most automobiles use four-stroke heat engines. These four-strokes occur repeatedly in each cylinder in the engine. This is a real-time 3D simulation which allows the student to explore how a four stroke engine works and to gain an understanding of the different strokes involved.

A biome is a group of ecosystems with similar climates and organisms. This is an online 3D application which allows users to examine the different biomes on the planet Earth. Students can rotate the globe to any angle, identify and choose biomes, and find out detailed information about a city in each biome.

In genetic terms, evolution is any change in the relative frequency of alleles in a population. In small populations, an allele can become more or less common simply by chance for reasons other than natural selection. This kind of random change in allele frequency is called genetic drift.

Stunt Bike Island is an online 3D experience that takes place on virtual tropical islands. Spend some time on the launching yourself into the air while doing back flips, yahoos, tail whips, and an assortment of other insane stunts. Stunt Bike Island has been licensed by a number of gaming sites including Shockwave.com and ArcadeTown.com.

Branded Video Game
ForgeFX, in partnership with BBDO and Organic, developed Sebring Lane Change, a Chrysler branded video game that creates an immersive consumer experience around the Chrysler Sebring.
IQ GOLF
3D Golfing and Trivia
ForgeFX teamed up with Intuicode to develop a trivia based real-time 3D golf experience, IQ Golf. ForgeFX created all of the 3D skeletal models and character animations used in the game. Check out some free sample golfer animations or purchase the game here.
Bandai Power Rangers Datazord
3D CD-ROM Title
The ForgeFX technical team helped General Amusements build a CD-ROM Title for Bandai. The CD-ROM accompanied Bandai's Power Ranger Action Figures. A virtual control panel for the Bandai Power Rangers Datazord, the game provides a digital activity box for kids.
Lode Runner 3D Game Trailer
Game Animation
The Lode Runner 3D Game Trailer is a linear real-time 3D textured animation. Developed as a technology demonstration for Macromedia (now Adobe), this trailer is one of many Shockwave 3D projects developed by ForgeFX for Adobe to demonstrate the real-time 3D capabilities of their Director product.

Flash 3D Example
ForgeFX developed this Flash 3D ad campaign for Nissan USA while working with TBWA/Chiat/Day. This promotional piece features an online Flash 3D driving simulator for the Pathfinder, Frontier, and Xterra.
3D Product Demonstration
BC2000 Satuni
This interactive 3D product demonstration was built for Macromedia to demonstrate the new 3D capabilities of Director and Shockwave. This 3D product simulation was built as a tutorial that was packaged with the retail version of Macromedia's Director 8.5.
3D Product Demonstration
Hallmark Christmas Ornament
Built for Hallmark, ForgeFX built this interactive 3D version of the Millennium Express Train Christmas Ornament. Customers can operate the train and whistle on the ornament, and look at it from any distance before deciding to purchase it online. Providing interactive 3D representations of products, retailers can more easily put their products in consumer's hands, leading to a higher rate of purchase.
