ForgeFX is a collection of creative, talented, and dedicated multimedia software developers. We have been working together as a team for more than 10 years and bring a wealth of experience and skill to every project we work on.

ForgeFX Leadership

Greg Meyers and Adam Kane first teamed up together in 1996 while working as programmers at Red Sky Interactive in San Francisco. This Internet Advertising Agency was a pioneer during the dot com boom in developing award winning and cutting edge interactive web sites and CDs. Adam Kane and Greg Meyers got together with David Vaillancourt in 1999 when they went to work for an Austin, Texas based company, Human Code at their San Rafael office in California. David was working as a 3D modeler and animator in the CDROM game department. Greg Meyers became the new Director of Technology for the Internet Development Department while Adam Kane became the studio's Lead Programmer. Human Code was acquired by Boston based Sapient which led to Adam, Dave, and Greg leaving to start ForgeFX - a multimedia company focusing on the development of interactive 3D simulations.
GREG MEYERS

Greg Meyers
Greg has been developing software since the early 1990's. After graduating from the University at Albany, Greg moved to the Silicon Valley where he spent a few years working on CDROM games like Broderbund's The Last Express and the Madden Football series. He's worked for a number of top digital media companies including Sega of America, Red Sky Interactive, Human Code, and Sapient. Greg was the Director of Technology at Human Code's San Rafael office when they partnered with Macromedia to help release the 8.5 version of Shockwave which added support for real-time 3D. With a long list of successfully completed titles for high profile clients including Microsoft, Nike, Intel, Toshiba, Pearson Education, Absolut, Bandai, EA, Macromedia, Levis, Visa, Chrysler, and Nissan, Greg now serves as President and co-owner of ForgeFX. In addition to working on and managing countless successful projects, Greg has spoken at a number of conferences and published articles on the development of web-based interactive 3D simulations.
ADAM KANE
Technical Director
Adam Kane
Adam has been programming for more than 20 years and it's both his profession and passion. A natural programmer, Adam sees problem solving and programming as a never ending puzzle game. He's developed award winning games and interactive simulations pushing web-based 3D technology in innovative directions. After graduation from UC Berkeley in 1992, Adam traveled across the bay to San Francisco where he walked right into the start of the dot com era of the 1990's. Adam worked as a programmer for Red Sky Interactive where he developed cutting edge software for successful brands like Intel, Microsoft, Toshiba, Nike, Absolut, Sutter Home, LeapFrog, and Miller Beer. Prior to helping establish ForgeFX, Adam led Human Code and Sapient's Rich Media Groups programming teams. Adam Kane is now the Technical Director, Lead Programmer, and co-owner at ForgeFX where he manages and oversees all programming efforts.
DAVID VAILLANCOURT
Creative Director
David Vaillancourt
David is both a skilled artist himself as well as being a highly effective manager of his team. He is a great 3D modeler, animator and all around art producing machine. After completing his fine arts degree from Cal Poly he was hired by Human Code in San Rafael California to work on a variety of CDROM titles for Lego, Disney, Intel, Broderbund, and Macromedia. Dave has spent his professional career mastering and working with the industry standard 3D tools of today. Partnering with Macromedia since the Human Code days, Dave has been on the inside track of asset production for real-time web-based 3D technology available through the combination of Discreet's 3D Studio Max and Macromedia's Director, or any of the other popular web-based 3D delivery mechanisms. Every project that ForgeFX works on gets Dave's special touch and never ending attention to detail.
